KEWS provides communication links for the weather radio alert system, as well as the continuous weather broadcast.  These weather broadcasts and alerts are transmitted from 38 stations throughout the state.

Pictured at right are some of the more popular residential alert radios.  These radios are available online (), or at your local retail stores.  NOAA offices are located in Louisville, Jackson, Paducah, Charleston, and Wilmington.

This Public Alert Radio has an innovative warning system that automatically activates when severe weather or other emergencies threaten your local area.

Weather alert radio.
This weather and public alert radio includes an AM/FM radio, variable volume control, telescoping antenna, digital clock with calendar mode and an alarm. The AM/FM radio will also automatically end and switch to emergency mode when an alert warning is broadcast.
