Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program

KEWS provides a network of twenty dedicated phone circuits that alert all 911 centers and all Emergency Operation Centers (EOC) in the event of a spill. The system is tested once a week and is maintained to the highest of standards.

There are ten affected counties:

  • Clark
  • Estill
  • Fayette
  • Garrard
  • Jackson
  • Jessamine
  • Laurel
  • Madison
  • Powell
  • Rockcastle
